About Us
The Azienda Agricola Castello is located in San Casciano dei Bagni (Siena), in the south- east of Toscana, between Val D’Orcia and the Val di Chiana.
We are at more than 550 mL on the top of the hill, and the farm extends over an area of around 800 hectares and has a number of colonial houses restructured and in restructuring which have an exceptional agricultural and natural context.
The company has always been conducted directly by the members of the Bologna’s family. Today we are at the sixth generation!
Extravergine Olive Oil
Organic olive extravergine oil produced by Azienda Agricola Castello is obtained from the cold pressing of the olives.
This technique, in order to maintain the physical and nutritional characteristics, allows organoleptic properties to remain intact, ensuring all the benefits of daily consumption of extra virgin olive oil.
Azienda Agricola Castello follows EU Directives on measures to be taken in Biological Agriculture since 1999 and the oil produced is certified by Ente Bios Srl.
Our Fields
Since 1999, the whole of the farmland has been certified by the Bios unit and all agricultural practices have been in compliance with EU regulations governing organic farming.
The products of our tuscan hills are grown with consideration of the care of soil fertility through the use of natural substances alone, thus excluding the use of chemical synthesis products.
